From a locally brewed IPA to a fresh, fruity cocktail, here is the list of 10 of the best bars and clubs in Phu QuocVietnam where you can get them.
Bookmark a few favorites and visit them. They’d love to see you!
The Cheeky Traveller
The Cheeky Traveller is by far the best bar on Phu Quoc island. We visited here many times during our trip and loved it every moment. Kim and Ken, the owners, are very friendly and make everyone feel welcome.
Also, the live music every night is excellent, and the cocktails are great. We love the vibrant and warm atmosphere here as we can see many familiar faces whenever we come back.
We highly recommend this place if you’re traveling alone in a couple or a group. Prices are great: beer is $1, and their cocktails are just 50,000 VND (~$2.15).
Note: Cheeky Traveller Bar doesn’t open every day, so you should check their Facebook page to know the opening days.
Address: 118 Alley, Tran Hung Dao street (near Istanbul beach club)
Baby Ca is one of the best bars to watch the sunset on Phu Quoc island. It’s used to be Joe’s bar, but now the name’s changed.
We spent quite a bit of our holiday time here. The drinks are good, and the prices are highly competitive. We enjoy sitting on bean bags while drinking beers and waiting for the sunset.
Note: The bar’s sun chairs available for rent for 100,000 VND per pair.
Address: To 4, Cua Lap, Phu Quoc
Opening hours: 8 pm – 2 am
The Rabbit Hole Irish Bar
The Rabbit Hole is another interesting spot for a casual atmosphere, good food, and cold beer.
This bar offers a great atmosphere with pool tables, dartboards, arcade games, and a beer garden. It’s also a super spot to catch some live sport as well.
The bar has live music almost every night from 9 pm to midnight. We enjoyed dancing to the live music at night and chilling at their beer garden for some outdoor drinking.
Address: 1/118 Tran Hung Dao street
Opening hours: 10 am – 2 am
We spent a few nights at Coco bar, and it was a nice little place to relax.
Not crowded or bustling with EDM, Coco Bar offers a relaxing and chill space with classic Jazz melodies and a rich selection of cocktails.
Coming here, you have to try the homemade rum – distilled from a variety of fresh tropical fruits such as pineapple, watermelon, passion fruit, mango, and ginger. We recommend coconut rum.
The bar also offers a variety of dishes. We tried the pizza, but the dough was a big disappointment. We haven’t tried other dishes, so I can’t comment.
Address: 118/3 Tran Hung Dao street
Opening hours: 1 pm – 12 am
Chuồn Chuồn Bistro & Sky Bar
Chuon Chuon Bistro & Sky Bar is located on a small hill, opening a panoramic view of the vast ocean and Duong Dong town. It’s a great spot to watch the sunset and chill.
We love the view and the bar’s decoration. The open-concept space offers a cozy feeling, and the sofas and chairs here are comfy. Also, the staff is very attentive.
Chuon Chuon Bistro & Sky Bar has a good selection of signature cocktails, mocktails, and coffee. The menu also offers a mix of Vietnamese and Western cuisines. We tried BBQ pork ribs and Grilled beef with lemongrass chili and liked them both.
Bad points: Drinks are quite expensive here, and they don’t serve coffee after 4 pm.
Aloha Beach Bar
Aloha Beach Bar is another great place to watch the sunset in Phu Quoc. The bar just opened last December, so not many people know about it.
We enjoy coming here during the day, sitting on bean bags, and sipping coffee or cold beers under the palm trees. It also has a good sitting area where you can work as well.
Note: You can only order coffee before 3 pm. After that, the menu changes.
Address: 68 Tran Hung Dao street
Opening hours: 8 pm – 2 am
From chilling in the beer garden to having fun on the dancefloor, Luna bar has it all. The bar is a great spot to grab a cocktail or a few, listen to music, and hit the dance floor if you’re feeling it.
Nestled on Tran Hung Dao Street is Bittersweet – Hidden Cocktail Bar, an ideal “hiding place” for people who love cocktails.
The bar doesn’t have a specific menu. Just come, talk, and let the bartender know what you’re looking for in a cocktail. You will be surprised.
Address: Opposite Salinda resort, Tran Hung Dao street
Opening hours: 6 pm – 1 am
Rory’s Beach Bar
Rory’s beach bar is a must-visit! We love it for its rustic simplicity and prime location – right next to the sea.
Rory’s beach bar has two main areas. The inside is designed in a rustic style with wooden furniture, while the outside has low tables and chairs and colorful lanterns. It’s very spacious and airy, suitable for relaxing.
What makes Rory’s Beach Bar special is probably its golf courses. You can pay a day pass for 100,000 VND/ person. The bar also has other games such as pool and dart. They have bungalows on-site as well.
Note: Rory’s Beach Bar is a bit out of Duong Dong town near Ham Ninh village. It takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get there.
Address: Group 3, Cay Sao, Phu Quoc
Opening hours: 9 am – 2 am
Rock Island Bar
Rock Island is probably one of the unique bars in Phu Quoc. It’s the only Hon Mong Tay island bar, located a bit in the south of Phu Quoc island.
It has a rustic design with lots of open spaces nestled among lush green gardens. Seen from above, this bar has become a harmonious piece with the colorful nature of the pearl island.
Travel tips: To reach Rock Sunset Island bar, you need to take a private boat or boat from Nam Nghi Resort.
