The history

In 1915, Dr. Yersin discovered Mount Hon Ba, built an experimental station on the top of the mountain, and cultivated varieties including cinchona (treating malaria) and tea.

Cau Dat Farm was officially established in 1927 and covered more than 600 hectares.

During this time, the factory mainly produced black tea, and the product was brought to France for consumption and exported to other countries in Europe.

By 1960, the Vietnam War forced the French to suspend economic activities in Da Lat, and the Cau Dat tea facility fell into the hands of Chinese merchants.

It was not until 1975 that the Cau Dat tea department was officially under the management of Lam Dong province.
