How to get to Ong Lang Beach

Reaching Ong Lang Beach is fairly straightforward.

From Duong Dong town, follow along Cua Can Street, drive about 4.5 km northbound, and take a left. You’ll see a large roadway leading to the sea, adorned with signs for various resorts. About 1 km further, and voila! You have arrived at the idyllic Ong Lang Beach.

For the tech-savvy traveler, Google Maps is a trusty guide. You have two options to reach Ong Lang Beach, either via Co Co Palm or through the Phu Quoc Eco Beach Resort.

The best time to enjoy Ong Lang Beach is from November to April.

The weather is particularly pleasant during these months, marked by cool breezes and relatively lower rainfall. This provides the perfect setting for all beach activities and also lets you enjoy the scenic beauty of the beach to the fullest.

Whether you want to relax by the beach, indulge in water sports, or simply enjoy a beachside meal, these months offer the best conditions.

How much time to spend at Ong Lang

Depending on your pace and interests, I recommend spending at least a full day at Ong Lang Beach. We stayed in Ong Lang area for one month, and it was still not enough.

A few days would allow plenty of time to soak in the scenery, participate in activities, enjoy local cuisine, and see the breathtaking sunset. It’s also a great opportunity to immerse oneself in the laid-back beach vibe and get a real feel of the local culture and lifestyle.

Things to do on Ong Lang Beach

At Ong Lang Beach, one is spoilt for choices when it comes to activities. From lounging on the sandy shores, renting a sunbed, to taking a dip in the warm waters, there’s something for everyone.

You should not miss the stunning sunset view, especially from the rocky area near the Mango Bay resort. This magical experience of watching the sun gradually dip into the horizon, painting the sky with hues of red, orange, and pink, is truly unforgettable.

What to wear

Considering the tropical weather, light and breathable clothing is highly recommended. This could include shorts, sundresses, and lightweight shirts.

Don’t forget your swimwear if you plan on swimming or participating in water activities. Accessories like sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and flip-flops will complete your beach outfit while providing protection from the sun.
