If you’re not an experienced driver, I suggest not riding a motorbike in Phong Nha, as some road parts can be dangerous. Also, there’re lots of cows walking on the streets, so you might hit them.

Please note that it gets dark after 5:30 pm, and most of the roads don’t have street lights, so you should arrange your travel time appropriately.

The most popular activity to do here is “Wishing with a duck.”

Holding a duck and letting it go while making a wish may sound silly, but it’s fun, especially if you’re seeking a relaxing afternoon.

Also, the kids at Duck stop can speak English well, and they will show you around the Pepper farm, teaching you how to each Banh Xeo, or take you to the hill where you can get a great view of Bong Lai Valley.
