An Hoa sheep field is located in An Hoa village, Xuan Hai commune, Ninh Hai district, Ninh Thuan province. The area is located about 16 km from the center of Phan Rang city in the Northwest direction.
An Hoa area is one of the largest places for breeding and free-grazing in Ninh Thuan province.
It has many herds, from a few hundred to even thousands of sheep on a large steppe meadow. Along with that is the peaceful landscape, charming countryside with a nomadic character.

In addition to sheep, we also saw other animals such as cows, goats, and chickens in the area.

Best time to visit An Hoa sheep field
Ninh Thuan has a tropical climate, with the rainy season starting from September to November and the dry season from December to August next year.
Therefore, the best time to visit the sheep field would be during the dry season, and April to August is ideal.
The weather is sunny, and the area is lush green so that you can enjoy the best of your time here.

During the day, early morning (from 6 am to 8 am) or afternoon (from 4 pm to 5 pm) is the best time to visit the field.
When the sun gradually fades behind the distant mountains in the afternoon, the sheep are back to the stilt houses.
Things to do at An Hoa Sheep field
Feed the sheep
We visited one of the farms in the field and had a lovely time there.
We purchased a bucket of morning glory and fed the sheep there. They were very excited when we arrived and were friendly around us.

However, because Ninh Thuan sheep are raised mainly for meat, their wool is quite dirty and has an earth-yellow color.

Relax at Thanh Son Dam
Visiting the An Hoa area, don’t forget to explore Thanh Son dam. The dam is quite large and offers poetic scenery with mountains in the background.
