I also love Mamma’s dinner! It’s a traditional Portuguese meal that gathers everyone at the communal table for socializing.

The Central House Lisbon Baixa

Located in the heart of the city, The Central House Lisbon Baixa is a typical European-style hostel with a minimalist design.

Its location makes it the perfect spot to view the beautiful sunset and explore the city’s charm and atmosphere.

The hotel features dorms and private rooms with a nice little bench beside the window overlooking the street below. This is perfect for those who want to soak in the golden sun while reading a book.

Also, you can relax and even work remotely in the communal lounge area decorated with some plant pots. This is also a place for enjoying the continental-style breakfast with plenty of options.

My favorite event at the bar is wine tasting, which is a great chance to get to know other travelers!

This family-run hostel gives excellent recommendations, so you don’t have to worry about what to do and where to eat. 

The decor in rooms is simple yet classy, with parquet wood floors and funky chandeliers. In addition to stylish shared rooms, Lisboa Central Hostel has private rooms decked out with a blend of shabby chic and contemporary furniture. 

Staying here, I didn’t spend a lot of money on food, either!

There’s a free pancake breakfast and free soup each day. Other freebies include Milkshake Mondays, where you can try a free tasty milkshake.

Don’t miss out on free activities and cultural events such as weekly film nights and nightly pub crawl in Bairro Alto. 

Selina Secret Garden Lisbon

Hidden in the trendy Cais do Sodre, Selina Secret Garden is a boutique and aesthetic hostel with a nomadic and sustainable concept.

A varied menu with breakfast and brunch menus at the on-site restaurant leaves you wanting more!

Staying here, I wanted to try everything but opted for the Egg Benedict and a salted caramel waffle.

If you prefer a green lifestyle, you definitely love the 100% sustainable straws made from dough.

In addition to coworking spaces and yoga lessons, you can view the whole capital at a rooftop bar while taking a dip in a pool for the hot days. It’s worth snapping photos when staying here, right?

The hotel is located in an iconic and beautiful Cais Sodre Train Station, surrounded by modern decor.

The spot has a garden feel with a large glass skylight ceiling and plenty of potted plants. The natural lights through the glass create a tranquil and upbeat ambiance to focus more.

Entering the rooms, you may notice rich wood floors and wallpapered ancient walls with graphic patterns from manga comics or subway maps. How gorgeous it is!

Not to mention a free breakfast, you also get a meal for a reasonable price and coffee for free all day.

You never get bored here! Lisbon Destination Hostel has many fun activities, including a pool table, ping-pong table, movie nights, free walking tours, fado tours, and pub crawls – You’ll be spoiled!

Looking for a novelty place to stay in Lisbon? Sunset Destination Hostel is awaiting you. I love how unique the bunk beds were.

Unlike other standard bunk beds, creative ones inspired by a trip to Cappadocia, Turkey, will grab your attention the most. Those sturdy bunk beds are made of recycled wood, making squeaking noises impossible. 

The high-quality hostel is designed in an eclectic style, combining unusual contemporary items, mixed motifs, and generous accessories.

Aside from its unrivaled location inside a train station, Sunset Destination Hostel has a rooftop terrace area where you can use several different herbs for free.

There’s also a swimming pool with a stunning view of the Tagus River and its surroundings.

My favorite part is the new geodesic tent with Moroccan decorations, creating a calm place to rest.  

To add to the top-notch experience, you can chill out with fabulous cocktails on the rooftop terrace at the stylish Zebra Bar while enjoying a beautiful sunset over the bridge of Lisbon from here.

The bonus is a massage room to vent pent-up stress. With excellent services, it’s very likely you won’t want to leave at all!

Living Lounge Hostel

Sandwiched between beautiful Chi ado and Bairro Alto, Living Lounge is one of the trendy hostels in Lisbon thanks to local artists.

Living Lounge Hostel comes in a funky, boutique style, making it more Instagramable.

You’ll find a main lounge downstairs, including a wooden dining table next to a fully-furnished communal kitchen.

In addition to delightful rooms with fancy decor, you have free pancakes for breakfast and even three-course dinners at extra cost at night.

If you have never tasted Portuguese beer, head to the bar to try the wonderful flavors. 

Bluesock Hostels Lisboa

I especially love the colorful LED lights in each room at night. How cool is that!

The mezzanine floor at Bluesock serves a nice selection of cereal bread, cheese ham, and croissants, so you can fill up your stomach.

How about the common area? Staying at Bluesock, you’ll discover a unique underground lounge – a spacious, relaxing shared space.

I fell in love with the rooftop, where it’s impossible not to enjoy music and drinks on green sofas while soaking in the beautiful views of the Tagus.
