The location was amazing, and the man who runs the inn was very nice. He has a very calm cat who wanders around the place. The traditional style house was also neat to stay in. It's right by this cute little café called Ohana8, which is run by a very friendly lady who serves good coffee and good food (including gluten free muffins).

Very good value (!). Also I loved the small garden - there was a typhoon on one of our days there so it was nice to be able to sit inside and look at the garden. Air conditioning in the room was good, water pressure on the shower also very good. I think it's a small place, didn't see many other guests in the shared bathroom.

Neko-Chan - I really like the cat in the inn. The Staff / Owner are very helpful - I was late check-in but still they accommodate and assisted me by providing guide and where is my room. To ojiisan which is the owner is good to every guest.

I loved our stay here. Our host served us refreshing cold tea and helped carry our luggage upstairs. The rooms were nice and we had AC and a fan to keep cool. My favorite part is the kitty, and the maple leaves outside. I loved exploring Kyoto and walking back to our inn, it was brightly lit lantern and the downstairs had a comfortable home vibe. Every time we left our inn and when our host was there, he would tell us goodbye and have a safe journey! When we left he also helped us carry our luggage downstairs and came outside to watch us leave as we departed. The location is great and a super short walk from the shrine, popular shopping spots, and the bus stop. Bed was traditional style with tatami and cover, I loved my stay!

It’s in very good location, right next to Gion, in Kyoto, and well connected to public transport. Metro station is only around 7 mins away for walk, and bus stops are even closer to be reached. Despite some review commenting that the room is not very clean and a bit dusty, my own room provided was very clean. So it is of very great value for money considering its convenient and superb location. The owner also helped me move my luggage upstairs to my room when I checked in.
