At the meeting point of river and sea, huge Osaka combines forward-thinking development and sure-footed tradition. This is symbolised in its temple-like, 16th century castle, guarded by ramparts and enlivened by vibrant spring cherry blossom. Dominating the surrounding skyline is Osaka Business Park, a reminder of the city’s strong role in the Japanese economy.
However, the most striking skyscraper is the Umeda Sky Building - 2 towers connected by a rooftop terrace offering far-reaching views. The nearby Osaka and Umeda train stations are linked by underground shopping centres, while the shops of Shinsaibashi’s America Village appeal to a younger crowd. Dōtonbori’s neon lights promote more shops, as well as restaurants considered the best in Osaka. In a city touted as Japan’s culinary capital, that’s quite an accolade.
The Tsūtenkaku tower overlooks Tennōji Park, home of the Osaka Municipal Museum of Art. Another nearby park houses Shitennō-ji, one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples.
The Kyocera Dome Osaka is a shrine of baseball, and more thrills are at waterfront Universal Studios Japan, the country’s 2nd largest theme park. Also by the sea is Kansai International Airport, on its own artificial island.
The capsule hotel was invented in Osaka, and alongside this type of accommodation, Booking.com also offers luxury hotels with pools, cheap hostels and traditional ryokans.
loved loved loved Osaka. The food was amazing. Things we tried Takoyaki, Kushikatsu, Okonomiyaki, Ramen and the cakes. We loved all the different flavours. If you want to try different food all in one place, visit Kuromon Market. The Kobe beef is to die for, 1 skewer was approximately Kobe $15 or Wagyu $8 AUD. Our favourite Ramen place was Ippuo which was just across the street from our hotel.
Namba was fantastic area to stay in.
We did a few day trips so the location of Namba Station to our hotel was great. We used the Metro Line nearly everyday. We didn't buy any of the travel cards (just tickets) as we were there only 8days.
The lines and stairs are unavoidable. The stairs are a killer, however the lines move quickly so don't be put off.

It’s very different from Tokyo, Narita area.
It’s very different from Tokyo, Narita area. They have become more westernized. Especially when it comes to their nigiri. They add so much sauce and extras. Not like the traditional nigiri style. It was extremely cold, like depressing, can’t do anything weather. I barely noticed the sun out all of the 5 days I was there.

Osaka City is an absolute treasure trove of warmth and wonder! From its bustling streets to its rich cultural heritage, every corner of this vibrant city is brimming with charm and excitement. Whether you're indulging in mouthwatering street food at Dotonbori, marveling at the iconic Osaka Castle, or immersing yourself in the lively atmosphere of Namba, there's never a dull moment in Osaka. But beyond its famous attractions, it's the warmth and hospitality of the locals that truly make Osaka special. Everywhere you go, you're greeted with smiles and kindness, making you feel right at home in this bustling metropolis. With its unique blend of tradition and modernity, Osaka City stole my heart, leaving me with cherished memories and a longing to return again and again.

Either a day with overnight stay, or a day trip from Kyoto...
Either a day with overnight stay, or a day trip from Kyoto would have been sufficient. Compared to rest of country, the city was so-so, but what's truly impressive is how much of the city is in the underground at several of the train stations. At the Osaka, and Usaka-Umeda train stations, the underground walking area is a city of its own. Its extensive! Its nothing short of a spacious, glamorous, labyrinth. Boggles the mind to imagine the planning and execution that went into is marvel. Its extensive! Overall Osaka is very end-to-end built-up city; its business-like.

I have to be honest, I didn't enjoy Osaka as much as I enjoyed Tokyo, Kyoto & Hiroshima. It can be very crowded in the popular areas, noisy, perhaps more suited for younger people! If you love shopping, eating and crowds, then you'll love Osaka! I'm glad I've been there but I've got no desire to return.

The city is clean and the people are very kind.
The city is clean and the people are very kind.
It is good place for family because it is near to Universal Studio Japan Amusement park and beatif antique temple and also have good shopping center. Most of all, there is Pokémon center for kids and you can get wonderful Pokémon characters.
I loved everything about this hotel. The room was spacious compared to others in japan. The location was super convenient. They had massage chairs in the lobby which felt nice after a couple weeks of traveling. They also had free drinks and ramen. The drinks are of course not the best but they're quite good for being free. They had daily activated planned which I think would appeal more to families with children. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting osaka and would definitely stay again.
property is very clean, and staff is very friendly and approachable, it is pretty close to USJ and right across the hotel is the train station so its very convenient to travel around osaka, hotel already provided almost everything they even provided essence, facial wash and cleanser, bath tub is very clean and spacious unlike other hotels in japan which you need to curl up to fit in, overall we enjoyed our stay in this hotel, highly recommended!
The hotel was very clean and have enough space for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young children). It's also a strone throw from the nearest station and there's a mall across the street. Osaka castle is within walking distance. The neighbourhood area is quiet and comfortable, but that also means there's nothing much to do at night. Breakfast was simple but good enough. There are Japanese as well as western options available in the buffet line.
I loved this elegant hotel, just next to Osaka Station! I was a little bit confused when I first arrived to Osaka, as I couldn't figure out at first how to get to the hotel. I soon realized though that its building is directly connected to the station, so I just had to cross a bridge, which was so convenient for our everyday commute! The room was at an expected size for Japan, the stuff very kind and helpful. The views were amazing!!
The location is very convenient. Dotonbori is 5 minutes away by walking. Very short walk to train stations, JR Station, laundromat is across the street. 7/11, Lawson, family mart are minutes walking distance. Staff ( Hsueh) was working when we checked in and checked out. He speaks minimum english but was extremely helpful. Room is tights as many hotels in Japan but comfortable enough for 2 adults.
Hotel Resol Trinity Osaka exceeded my expectations. The room size is sufficient for Japanese standards and the breakfast has a good variety. The location of the hotel is very convenient and stylish. I would book other Resol hotels all over Japan if I knew their quality beforehand, definitely will be my choice again in the future.
P.S. Please consider selling your incredible Jinbei pyjamas :)
Location was perfect for touring the Dotonbori neighborhood and just a short walk from Namba Station. The staff was helpful and attentive with room requests. When I asked about getting a cab to Osaka Castle one of the staff immediately went to the front of the hotel and hailed a cab for us and then told the driver where we wanted to go. We would stay there again.
The actual hotel looks better than the pictures. Room was a bit small but that’s normal in Japan. Bed was comfy and amenities were of great quality.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Osaka and a fair walk to the train stations. A Lawson minimart is just across the road. All in all, a fine experience at The Rise and would easily recommend this hotel.
One of my favourite hotels we stayed in during our time in Japan. This hotel had a nice reception area with amenities to use for free. The onsen was also a nice bonus to visit at the end of the day and relax. We also liked the rooms and had enough space for the two of us and our suitcases. The location also made it easy to get to the heart of Osaka's food!
The hotel is a very modern oasis in the lively Amerika-Mura area north of Dotonbori. Our room was quite large, and high enough that we didn't have any issues with noise. The staff were friendly, and the complementary welcome drink was nice. A good option for anyone who wants to stay close to the action of Dotonbori and Osaka-Namba station.
The hotel is comfortably located very near the Shin Osaka station. I just stayed for one night after arriving in Osaka in the evening, but I enjoyed my stay there. The room was clean, comfortable and relatively big. The breakfast combines western and Japanese style. There is a good ramen restaurant nearby.
By far best part of my stay in Japan! EVERYTHING about this place was incredible. The staff, the room, the location, I can not recommend this place enough! One of the main reasons why Osaka was my favorite City in Japan because of the incredible accomodations at this hotel!
The location is incredibly ideal. Exit 3 of Higobashi station is right in front of the door. Within a minute you're at Osaka station and the other way, a few minutes to Dotonbori.
The staff is very friendly & the bed is one of the best in the business hotels I've stayed at.
The location of the hotel is excellent, it is in the city centre of Osaka conveniently connected with the well organized transport system within the city as well as to other cities in Japan. Furthermore we can take the airport limousine bus directly arriving to the hotel.
The location was great. Walking distance to dotonbori and shishaibashi. Walking distance to nightlife as well. Will definitely stay again when I come to Osaka again. Price wasn't that bad, considering that hotels are pricey In Japan on weekends.
Breakfast is delicious, best I had in Japan from all my hotels. The staff speak pretty good English. Be warned you have to pay Osaka tax on arrival. The room was comfortable and I liked the sofa / TV area. The free coffee was a nice touch too.
The location of Cross Hotel Osaka is superb. It is easily accessible to many shopping malls and eateries.
The rooms are very clean and cosy. Very nice rooms.
Breakfast has very good spread of Japanese food and some continental food.
This hotel is amazing! It is right next to Osaka train station. in the middle of the center. Very clean hotel, easy to check in and check out, the rooms are pretty spacious for Japanese standards. Great view. I would book this again!
The hotel is decent. Location is very near Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi which we prefer when visiting Osaka. Our room was very spacious for a family of 3.
