The distance between Dong Hoi city and Phong Nha tourist area is about 45 km. From Dong Hoi, you can get to Phong Nha Ke Bang by bus, taxi, or motorbike.

Taking a bus from Dong Hoi to Phong Nha is the cheapest option.
Bus B4 connects the center of Dong Hoi city to Phong Nha Ke Bang. The travel distance is about 54 km, and it takes about 1 hour.
You can first go to Dong Hoi bus station, or catch the bus on Truong Phap Street (in front of Ke Bang Tourist Hotel). The bus then follows National Highway 1A to Ho Chi Minh road and finally stops at the Phong Nha tourist center in Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district.
Timetable: Buses operate from 5:00 to 17:00 every day with a frequency of 1 hour. Thus, there are about 12 – 14 trips per day, so you do not have to wait too long.
Price: The bus ticket to Phong Nha is 35,000 VND per person. You can ask the operator to drop you off near your hotel.
Taxi from Dong Hoi airport to Phong Nha
Taxi is the fastest and most convenient way to travel from Dong Hoi airport to Phong Nha.

Dong Hoi to Phong Nha by bike
From the center of Dong Hoi city, you can also rent a motorbike to Phong Nha Ke Bang.
Traveling by bike is the most active option, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the road.
There are many different places for renting motorbikes in Dong Hoi city, with prices ranging from 100,000 VND to 150,000 VND per day.
Best Places to stay in Phong Nha
The central area of Phong Nha town is only about 1km, but there are several hotels, motels, and homestays.
These hotels are mainly located on the main road (DT20), running along the Son River.
